East West International School & College
We are living
through an age of ‘Survival to the fittest’. To exist one has
to struggle successfully through a highly intricate and
competitive world. It is no denying that fact that presently
every nation rich or poor is faced with one crisis or other
economically, politically, culturally and environmentally. It
has more than a fact that as citizens of a developing country
we are to live through these manifold gripping problems.
Bangladesh as an
emerging nation is still beset with all the problems already
stated. Over and above it is lagging behind educationally
which is the crux of our national problem. The colonial rule
is gone from the sub-continent, but we are yet to find out an
education system ideally suiting to our need. We are still
limping ahead with British made education system with one
patch of change here and one patch of change there., but its
overall return is indeed distressing. Tens of thousand of our
students are going abroad in quest of higher studies every
year at a great expense because they feel that education
available here is inadequate and old fashioned.
In the midst of
doldrums East-West International School, an Exclusively
English medium School convinced and founded by Mr. Aulad
Hossain a keen patron of education and the chairman of this
potential educational institute has made a considerable
headway in and around Mirpur are fulfilling a long cherished
dream and aspiration of its inhabitants catering a time
benefiting and all around liberal education with ultimate goal
of turning out O level students from this institution. No
doubt, at present it lacks in immaculate infrastructure, but
qualitatively it is deeply and sincerely committed to
producing highly enterprising and promising scholars’ endowed
with rare qualities of head and heart capable of confronting
the challenge of the new millennium.
Long live
