EWISC mission is to
serve the expatriate community in Dhaka, Our applicants come
from Dhaka city only, but since our medium of instruction is
English, non-native speakers of English (Grades play group to
‘O’ level) must have attended an English medium school for at
least three years, and may be required to pass our English for
speakers of other languages screening.

In the elementary
school there are not more than 25 students in each class.
Early Learning Center (ELC) and Kindergarten classes have two
teachers in each room.
Classes usually
begin in late August or Early September and the school year
ends in 1st August and usually ends at last of
July.
Students enrolling
at the beginning of the school year attend new family
registration meetings for a full EWISC overview, followed by
individual courses selection meetings with their appointed
counselors. When arriving during the school year, after a
brief orientation with the office of admissions personal,
students will meet with their counselor to develop their
schedules usually begin classes the next day.
Of curse, every
students experience is different; however, attending EWISC,
with its British-style environment, makes the transition
smoother for most. Every student at EWISC knows what it feels
like to be the new student and they are very helpful to the
newcomers. Faculty ad administration, too, are involved,
counselors in every division handle personal and transition
issues with students and their families.
As of September
2003, over 500 students are enrolled, including approximately
150 in the early learning center. Total enrollment fluctuates
based on the movement of expatriate families throughout the
year. Over 60% of EWISC students are Mirpur only. Click here

While we do not
offer special education classes, our learning support program
serves a limited number of students designated as needing
support to help them keep up with our regular curriculum in
each division (See special program). Parents of applicants
with learning differences are required to discuss their
children’s special needs with the admissions director of
admissions before applying to EWISC. If our programs can’t
support a child’s needs. Wee will try our best to information
on other options.

EWISC is committed
to offering scholarship assistance to families of new and
returning students. Applicants must be made on an annual
basis. Contact the office of admissions for further in
formations.
EWISC has developed
a priority system that reflects system the school’s missions
of serving dependants of families on temporary professional
assignments in Bangladesh. It is essential to both the student
and EWISC that there be reasonable match between the students
abilities and the schools programs and environment.
